Library's Role


We Support Patient Care
  • By providing staff and physicians with evidence-based resources that enable informed decision-making and ensure high quality person-centered care
We Support Learning
  • By fostering a culture of continuous improvement through services that support organizational and clinical education, staff current awareness practices, and the continuum of learning for new clinicians transitioning to practice
Who We Serve
  • All Northern Health staff and physicians, including affiliated physicians, as well as basic services for students
  • Regional services are available by email, phone, MS Teams, and snail-mail for print materials

  • 1 Library Technician
  • 1 Librarian (Regional Manager, Library Services)

  • Articles & interlibrary loans, journals, print and e-Books, point-of-care tools, pharmaceutical databases
  • Literature search requests and research support
  • Library orientations and database instruction
  • Curated subject guides on specialized topics in healthcare

The Library facility is located in the Learning & Development Centre at UHNBC in Prince George on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation

  • Staffed hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm
